Claughtons and Hull Kingston Rovers team up to deliver great results.
Claughtons has teamed up with Hull Kingston Rovers to form a partnership that will see local youngsters benefit from a shared commitment by both organisations to develop and engage with the communities in which they work.
Claughtons has supplied a rugby-themed inflatable which will be put to good use in the local community by the Robins’ Education and Sport Trust. The inflatable, which measures 4.5m high x 3.5m wide incorporates a set of rugby posts and will be used by the club a part of its extensive community development and engagement work and also as part of their pre-match entertainment.
Joe Clutterbrook, marketing manager at Hull KR, said: “The inflatable has been a fantastic asset to the club. On days when we have children form a range of schools at the ground, it provides them with a fun challenge and the chance to learn some of the basics of the game.”
Gerard Toplass, managing director at Claughtons, said: “We are delighted to be able to work with Rovers to really engage with people and provide a lot of fun, whilst at the same time being used to reinforce some serious work that takes place. The club is passionate about its responsibilities to the community it serves and we are very happy to be able to support that essential work in this way.
“The inflatable is part of a wider project that Claughtons is involved with, Above and Beyond, which has been created to engage and inspire young people to achieve in education and in turn, throughout their lives. Pupils in several participating schools and academies across the city get the chance to work in partnership with local companies to gain new skills and real life experience, through this initiative, as well as being incentivised with sporting tickets for achievements.”
